The theatre is one of the public buildings of Piazza Roma, designed by Gustavo Pulitzer-Finali. Despite its proximity to the church and the arcades of the community building, the theatre with its simple design stands out for its size. The main façade features a series of large arched doors and squared windows with frames in red Trachyte. The interior spaces are characterised by a clear composition, where the main area, the high-ceilinged theatre, is surrounded by service spaces. The organisation of these different spaces is reflected on the outside by distinct blocks. The theatre hall, which can seat about 400 spectators, was extremely avant-garde. In fact, Pulitzer-Finali here called upon his long experience in the design of the large halls of ocean liners and in particular his study of aspects of lighting, visibility and air exchange. Unfortunately, the rich marble coverings which decorated the rooms, the stairway and the entrance hall have not been preserved.
