International tourism experts visit Forlì

11 February 2016 (Forlì, Italy)

On 11 February, ATRIUM hosts the participants at the international conference "Beyond the Great Beauty: Rescaling Heritage and Tourism" organised by the Centre for Advanced Tourism Studies in Rimini. The annual workshop  focuses on sustainable tourism and includes an excursion to Forlì to discover ATRIUM.

International experts from all over Europe are treated to a participative experience including guided tours, food tasting, contemporary art and an architectural game. This unique experience aims at illustrating ways in which cultural tourism can involve both the local population and visitors and throw a new light on the usual tourism experience.

2015 Kenneth Hudson Seminar

20 November 2015 (Bucharest, Romania)

ATRIUM was invited to take part in the 2015 Kenneth Hudson Seminar "Totalitarian regimes heritage and European narratives. Experiences and ideas on the role of museums." The association gave a presentation on "Communicating the Cultural Route of Architecture in Totalitarian Regimes: Towards a European narrative."

The objective was to examine the traces of this period in European cultural heritage (in museum collections and archives as well as architecture, especially monuments) and to discuss the possible use of such materials for the growing of historic awareness about this period in European civil society.
