A new façade for Palazzo Varano

The restoration of the Predappio town hall

In 2013, the façade of Palazzo Varano was restored in its original colours (grey, pink and yellow). By means of illustrations on the covering of the façade, the restoration of the building represented a crucial element in raising awareness and involving the citizens in protecting this heritage and reflecting on their dissonant heritage.

The restoration of Palazzo Varano was one of the three case studies, which was examined by the “Restoration of Modern Architecture Group”, which produced a set of Guidelines for the Restoration of Modern Architecture.
