a school project
The project “Architettura come propaganda. L’esibizione del potere nei regimi totalitari del Novecento” (Architecture as propaganda: the exhibition of power in the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century) is organised by the Pro Torviscosa association in collaboration with ATRIUM and the ISIS Bassa Friulana schools. It is financed by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. Start of the project is the school year 2023/2024, and it will be continuing also during the following school year. Fifth grade classes from 7 different ISIS schools will be involved.
The project has two objectives:
- First, it allows students from Torviscosa and surroundings areas to learn about ATRIUM's built heritage in other towns and cities. The proximity of Torviscosa to some other ATRIUM towns (Labin, Raša, Tresigallo) will allow students to visit them.
- The second objective is the production of new material on Torviscosa, addressed to young people. ATRIUM will provide the students with its experience and material so that they may draw inspiration for new creations such as touring performances, leaflets and videos. The participation of different types of schools will allow for the creation of various materials.
The following activities have already been realised:
- The reconstruction of Torviscosa with Minecraft
- In-depth historical meetings
- A visit of Labin and Raša
