Developing an Inclusive Process for Communicating Dissonant Heritage
All over Europe, the dissonant heritage of the 20th century is under discussion. The aim of the project is to develop an inclusive, democratic process to narrate the legacy of undemocratic history and create a methodology which can be used on multiple dissonant heritage sites. The innovative aspect is the holistic approach of research, allowing multidisciplinary and multivocal stories, while creating an open and inclusive communication channel, where further voices can be expressed. Presenting past mistakes and allowing new reflections on what this means for today's world is a process which inspires open-minded new ideas to emerge. Moreover, this process will help people embrace change and accept it with less fear and more readiness.
