Ferrara opens up its monuments: "Monumenti Aperti", on 13-14 October 2018. The event is supported by the Municipality of Ferrara, coordinated by the non-profit organisation Imago Mundi, and organised by the cultural association Ferrara Off in collaboratoin with Fondazione Ferrara Arte.
After a focus on 17th century Ferrara, this year's edition is dedicated to the 20th century. A journey through the city's recent history, from cinema and literature to architecture - a constant dialogue between material and immaterial culture. Different art and architectural styles are discovered as a visual expression of the events that characterised the 20th century.
The audience will be guided by young students of Ferrara's schools in an original guided tour along important monuments: la Residenza Municipale, Sala Arengo, Sala Estense, Castello Estense, Cathedral Museum, G. Frescobaldo Conservatory, Museum of Natural History, Elementary school Alda Costa, Sala Boldini, Acquedotto Monumentale, Palazzo Savonuzzi, MEIS, Museo della Risorgimento e della Resistenza, Palazzo dell'Aeronautica, Poste Centrali, Casa Minerbi, Cella del Tasso.
