In the suggestive spaces of the abandoned coal mine, part of the ATRIUM transnational cultural route, the biennial puts its focus on the works of the German genius Joseph Beuys. Artistic director is Damir Stojnicm, the curators are Branko Franceschi for contemporary Croation art and Lucrezia de Domizio Durini for the international part.
Various exhibitions, performances and concerts are offered to involve the public and create a dialogue with the citizens. Moreover, the project “Underground town of culture” aimed at reviving the old coal mines of Labin, transforming the place in a truly utopian and contemporary project.
