An interesting new project that strengthens ATRIUM's expertise in narrating the dissoant heritage of the 20th century European dictatorial regimes. In an era of political polarisation and ideological conflicts, historical sites have become battlegrounds of memory and identity. Tour guides and educators often face the challenge of interpreting these spaces in a way that recognises multiple perspectives and promotes understanding.
The Critical History Tours project is an initiative to create and promote guided tours that address contested histories across Europe. By combining public history, heritage and tourism, we seek to provide the tools and training needed to address this difficult dialogue and engage historical tensions in a meaningful way.
